Privacy Notice

Beta notice. A Loving Face is in private beta. This is a plain-language summary of how we handle information during testing, not a final legal policy. Please don't enter information you're not comfortable sharing during a beta.

Who this is for

A Loving Face helps families support a loved one experiencing memory loss. A caregiver sets up a profile for the person in care; family members may add photos, messages, and memories.

What we store

Your content is stored in our secure database and file storage (Supabase) and is only visible to you and the caregivers you authorize. We do not sell your data.

Optional AI voice features

Two optional features use OpenAI: warm read-aloud narration and voice-to-text transcription of recorded memories. When these are used, the relevant text or audio is sent to OpenAI only to produce the result. A caregiver can turn these off, and until then transcription only runs when you tap “Transcribe.” If your use involves protected health information, we recommend keeping these off until the appropriate agreements are in place.

Notifications

If you enable them, we send notifications (and emails) for things like incoming calls, reminders, family memories awaiting review, and urgent “I need help” alerts.
